an appointment.

To all ward members,

As I am sure you are aware Ashburton Safer neighbourhood policing team held a ward panel meeting on the 20th April, Mez and I was very pleased with the great turn out thank you very much for attending. If you were unable to attend I thought I would give you a quick update on the main discussion point. Mez and I explained that Croydon borough is changing the way it structured in line with the Croydon council boundary changes, which will come into action from the 7th May 2018.

This will not affect how your area is policed however it will mean that Ashburton as a ward is being redesigned and is changing the name of it also. Due to this depending on where your business or home is situated your new ward name will be either Shirley North or Addiscombe East. Due to these changes more officers are joining these two wards, for your records the two new wards will be policed by:

London Travel Watch.jpeg

London TravelWatch is the official watchdog organisation representing the interests of transport users in and around the capital. Officially known as London Transport Users Committee, we were established in July 2000.

London TravelWatch is sponsored and funded by the London Assembly, which is part of the Greater London Authority, and is independent from the transport operators. The Assembly also appoints the board members of London TravelWatch, supported by staff who carry out the day-to-day work.

London TravelWatch promotes integrated transport policies and presses for better public transport, with higher standards of quality, performance and accessibility. We liaise with transport operators, providers, regulators and local authorities. In turn, transport operators consult us on proposed changes to services or closures of lines or stations.

Our Board and Committee meetings are open to the public. For more information on meeting dates please view our calendar.

We will review all appeals about transport in London with a view to achieving a more satisfactory outcome wherever possible. We deal with services operated or licensed by Transport for London, which includes:

  • London Underground

  • London's buses

  • Docklands Light Railway (DLR)

  • Croydon Tramlink

  • Dial-a-Ride services

  • London River Services
